Our discussion in class today about population sparked my memory about a interview i found a few days ago. The great grandson of a 101 year old woman offered to sit down with her and act as a translator from his grandma to a mainly young adult/teen audience who could ask anything they desired.

One thing that i kept thinking about was the fact that there are about 4 people alive today for every person who was alive when she was born... not unsurprising that she says everything is polluted especially since she remembers getting their first faucet!
A slightly frightening thing was how she could easily notice global warming in her lifetime saying that she could have been iceskating this time of year in denver. Having lived in colorado i was suprised because denver is hardly what i would call a winter city.. but being from Alaska im probably rather biased on the subject.
Not on subject for saving the world.. but when asked about the Beatles she answered that she didnt much care for them personally, which sparked a discussion about how she was already in her 50s when "beatlemania" hit the US
